When you visit Berlin, Vermont, you can immerse yourself in the culture of a small town. This town has a population of about 2900 people so it is easy to find your way around and the friendly folk are always willing to stop and chat. It's not hard to find this town because Interstate 80 runs through it.
You won't find your usual tourist attractions in Berlin. You may have to travel to the nearby towns to visit museums and art galleries and do some serious shopping, but one thing you will see in Berlin is some of the covered bridges for which Vermont is famous. If you love the outdoors, you will love to take a bicycle tour of the Berlin Pond Loop. The entire route is on dirt roads and does not contain a lot of hills so it is suitable for even the most casual cyclist. In addition to this cycling trail there are three others that are a bit more challenging and longer.
If you come to visit Berlin during the winter, you will delight in the many snowmobiling trails and opportunities for sledding, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. For lodgings, you will have to stay at one of the hotels and motels found in the nearby towns. All of them are no more than 5 miles away from the center of Berlin, so you won't have to drive very far. There are quite a few restaurants where you can sit down to a home cooked meal, but you can also choose the regular fast food outlets if you want something to take with you.
