Hurricane, Utah is located 20 miles east of St. George. You can find a few shops, hotels and restaurants. Some of the hotels you can choose for your accommodations include the Comfort Inn Zion, Days Inn and the Motel 6. The restaurants in the area are Bar G Chuckwagon, Cast & Crew, Chuchi's Authentic Mexican, and the usual line up of fast food chains such as  Mc Donald's, Burger King, Taco Bell.

As the town is very small, there is not a great variety of things to see. However, you can still visit Bryce Canyon National Park where you will find trails leading you to the rock formations that are hard to see from other places. This place also has a great view of the mountain and the canyon. You will see different shapes of rocks in colors such as red and orange.

Zion National Park is a wonderful place to have a great experience looking at the Canyon and enjoy the scenic drive. It is a place you cannot miss on your vacation. Here you will gaze in wonder at the sandstone walls around you. If you want to capture the most beautiful view of the Canyon, don't forget to stop at Kolob Canyons, where you will be able to see the whole place. These attractions are only open to tourists during the summer so you will have to plan your vacation during that time.

The Escalante National Monument, established on 1996, is one of the monuments you can see in the area. This monument honors Francisco Silvestre Velez de Escalante who explored this place around 1970. Another monument is the Cedar Breaks National Monument. Here you can see different examples of ancient bristlecone pines and because you are high in the mountains, this location affords you a spectacular view of the surrounding area.
