Located justÂ seven miles south of Lake Erie, you will find the beautiful city of Elyria, Ohio, with a population ofÂ fewer than 60,000. The first sewing machine was invented here in 1858, and the first one-eyed car (one with a single headlight) known as the Garford Six was made here.

Cascade Park is the setting for the Pink Floyd rock, where the graffiti is still visible and the ruins of an electric power plant are located by East Falls.
The West Falls are one of the treasures of the town providing a different mood for each season of the year. Walk the Two Falls Trail or view the falls from the Observation Deck. Visit the Brown Bear Cave where many bears were captured in cages until 1980. On the east side of the Black River, you will find the East Falls, a double falls created by a dam and a rock cliff.
