when you are in manhattan for any reason and you have to catch a plane early in the morning this hotel is perfect to spend the night before your flight, the shuttle service is excelent. Si tiene que estar en manhattan y luego tomar un vuelo temprano en la manana, este hotel es la mejor opcion para quedarse la noche anterior ya que esta a solo unos cinco minutos en el shuttle gratis que ofrece el hotel..

The highlight of my trip to New York was going to the top of the Empire State Building. I would definitely recommend it to anyone (unless you are scared of heights of course)!!..
-
Instead of the Empire State building, go to the Top of the Rock. Much better view as you can see Central Park from there.
Go to Virgils bar and grill just off Times Square. Their Trainwreck fries are amazing!
Definately go and see the Yankees play. One of the highlights of my trip...
-
Visit a game of the New York Yankees!!..
-
You need a lot of time to see all of New York, and there's plenty of shopping to be had. Take lots of funds!..
-
Plan your day as much as you can to make the most of your time.
Wear good walking shoes!!
And enjoy New York - it's fabulous!!!..

Visit the Museum of Modern Art, it is amazing. Macy's is a must, we were there at Easter and the flower festival in the store was jaw-dropingly brilliant. China town is a must for lovers of chinese food...

If you want to visit a church service in Harlem to enjoy the Gospel singing try to find a service on a weekday. Sundays are crowded with Tourists and often these will not be let into church anymore to ensure that all local members find a seat...

It is good to walk to most places as you see a lot more sights. If you visit Macy's go to the visitors centre and show them some identification and you can get an 11% discount card, this card can be used as often as you like while in New York. If you want to visit Empire State Building it is best to go early in the morning around 8.30am to avoid the queues...
-
If you like shopping and love a bargain take a day to head out of NYC to Woodbury common, hundreds of shops including many designer brands in one handy shopping village! - catch a train from Penn station, with one change, it is about one hour journey..
If you are a foreigner, go to the information desk in Macy's with your passport to get 10% off your purchases...

If you want to go to Broadway book well in advance as popular shows get sold out very quickly. Ticket office on Times Square is great for discounts but I found it doesn't have the more popular shows because tickets for them sell very easily.
Make sure you take a yellow cab from the airport and not one of the unmarked cabs, but beware the unmarked cab drivers try to poach on you as soon as you walk out the terminal. The yellow cabs are a flat fare of $45 from airport to Manhattan where the unmarked cabs can be up to $100...

I love New York and this was my second trip. ..

New York is great city, full of contrasts and life. Buy tickets for Broadway from ticketmania.com or in front of the Marriot Marquise. Would recommend restaurants in the West side of 8th Avenue between 40 and 48 streets. East in each case in Chinatown in some of the Vietnamese restaurants. Will strongly recommend to try some of the bread, done in the local shops in NY (simply delicious). Check always the prices, many shops deliberately exclude the sale taxes from the price they offer you, bu at the end you should pay it. Buy souvenirs after 6 o'clock, prices suddenly fall down with 30%. Have pair of comfortable shoes, the city cries for walking around. Cheap hotels do not offer good conditions, generally the services are at low level. Traveling with the metro in the center is not such bad idea is relatively safe and comfortable. You can see there another side of NY. The city is dirty and polluted, but these are offset by the amazing cultural life in the city. ..

Top of the Rock is worth a visit for a fantastic view of Manhattan - the American's do this kind of thing very well indeed - even the lift up to the roof-top is an 'experience'!!
Maze restaurant at The London Hotel was a great success - top-notch food, great service and a refined but buzzy atmosphere. We had the $70 per head tasting menu, which all 6 of us enjoyed.
Pay a visit to the South Street Seaport - this is a decked area with numerous restaurant and shops on the river near the financial district, with old clippers (ships) providing an amazing visual contrast against the backdrop of modern office buildings. Combine this with a free ride on the Staten Island Ferry, which is 5 minutes walk away and provides ferry rides every 30 minutes throughout the day & evening (possibly even 24-hours). The view looking back towards Manhattan both during the day and after dark are well worth it, and the ferry passes within camera-snapping distance of the Statue of Liberty. If you're not desperate to get up close n' personal to the SOL by landing directly on the island, the ferry is ideal (and free!)
You can walk everywhere in Manhattan - it's split into a grid with avenues and numbered streets, but if you'd rather use public transport, the subway is easy to use once you've got a map. Note that trains don't all stop at every stop - the map indicates what stations a train stops at by a number or letter identification. Get a Metrocard, which can be topped up and used by several people - each time it's scanned at the barrier, the cost of a journey is deducted, so 6 of us used the same card to get through the barrier, whcih is entirely legal. Note that the cards need to be swiped quickly in the reader, otherwise they tend not to work.
Manhattan is quite simply a brilliant city to visit for a long weekend, either in a couple, or as we did - with friends. Can't recommend it highly enough!!..
-
If it's winter...it's really cold! -11 for us!..
-
Grand Central station for oysters is now a tradition in our family!..
-
There is lots to do and see. I only had three days in NYC, which was not enough. You need at least a week to see it all. ..
-
sorry, I am in a hurry.....
just do, what man needs to do in NYC.
Oh, one tipp:
Observatory deck on Rockefeller Center, "top of the rock"
in combo with a MoMA entrace for $30, you save 10 bucks.
And you look at the Chrysler building and Empire State! Stunning view!..

New York Three day pass is great value for access to all the big attractions. A radio city music hall back stage tour is a must.. make sure you get to the Empire State before 9am to beat the very lengthy wait time after 10am!!..
