Portsmouth, New Hampshire is a city of approximately 21,000 people.  The New Hampshire/ Maine seacoast is located less than an hour away from Boston, Massachusetts.  Whether you are just passing through Portsmouth, or are planning to stay awhile, there will always be something to see and do.

If you have children you have to entertain, take them to the Children's Museum of Portsmouth.  Here, your kids can partake in an archaeological dig with all the fixings.  Put on their lab coats, give them a trowel and let them loose.  They can even enjoy a simulated ride in a NASA shuttle on which they can view film footage of a launch and landing.
