Dock Lane Marsh is a walking marsh and a bird area. Here you will see sights that you only dreamed of. Barnes Island Trail is another spectacular place, where you will see a beautiful wooded island marsh with a self guided natural trail. When you have seen all this, sit down on the Town Pier, where you can enjoy the view of the river and its birds.
Salisbury is also steeped in history. Visit such places as Pike School, a one-room schoolhouse that was restored from 1882. Saltbox House and Pot lid Square also has some interesting features. The house itself represents the simplistic living of the folks of the past and the square is where the women melted down their pots to make bullets to fight the British. Visit the Town Hall, which is a classic New England building built in 1891.
