The Pokagon State Park offers many opportunities for recreational activity. A short drive from Fremont, you can enjoy swimming, boating, and fishing. There are playgrounds and picnic areas, as well as hiking trails. In winter, this park becomes a skier's delight with the ample trails for cross-country skiing. The toboggan run operates from Thanksgiving to February. This is a 1/3  mile track that you race down at speeds of 35 - 40 miles an hour.
