Located between the banks of the Mississippi River and Rock River, Moline, Illinois is home to about 44,000 people. With easy access from the major Interstate highways, I-80, I 88 and I-74, Moline is one of four cities that make up the Quad Cities. Take a walk or a bicycle ride along the beautiful Mississippi River along the scenic 4-mile paved Ben Butterworth Parkway and this connects to the 62-mile Great River Trail. Stop for a picnic and enjoy the sunset or watch all the people engaged in fishing, swimming, hiking and biking. In fact, swimming and fishing are two activities that you can do yourself.
With the large number of museums in Moline, history buffs should feel right at home. It is not hard to learn where this city came from and get a glimpse into its future when you visit such places as the Putnam Museum, Frigge Art Museum, the Bettendorf Family Museum of Arts and Sciences.
