Originally inhabited by the Illinois and Prairie Pottawatomi tribes, Geneva, Illinois is a city of about 19,000 people. The town is located in the Fox River Valley, about 40 miles west of Chicago. In this quaint town, the historic architecture is not large and ornate, rather, the historic homes are conservative and plain and many of the homes that were built in the late 19th century are well maintained.

When you want to enjoy a swim and meet some of the local people, Sunset Pool is open to the public. There are 8 lap lanes, a toddler's pool, concession stands and a play area for the children.
