Perry, Georgia, is a city of about 10,000 people nestled in the heart of the state. It is truly located at the crossroads of Georgia because of the number of highways that intersect in the city. Because of this location, tourism is its main economy. With 23 motels, there are more than 1700 rooms available for tourists, as well as a wealth of bed and breakfasts, where you can stay. There is also a 100-acre park, where you can pitch a tent or park your RV.

When you visit Perry, you have to take a tour of the historic downtown area. Here you will find a charming village with restored buildings housing specialty boutiques and benches where you can sit and take in the ambiance of the town. You can also take a trip along Perry's Antique Trail, which will take you to 18 communities in the area to see the many antiques.

This town is the venue for many festivals held throughout the year. For example, the Georgia State Fair runs for 10 days in October, the Georgia National Rodeo in February and the Peaches to the Beaches annual sale in March.

The American Camellia Society has 9 acres of camellia gardens, specialty gardens and collections as well as more than 170 porcelain birds and flowers on display. If you want to play golf, then Perry can accommodate you there too, with two golf courses to choose from.  The Board of Education building is open to the public and houses memorabilia related to Sam Nunn, the Senator of the state, who was born and raised in Perry.
