Steeped in Civil War history, the city of Camden, Arizona, offers many attractions for its residents and visitors to the city. This area is one of the most popular areas in the country for Civil War buffs because Camden was occupied by General Steele and a major battle was fought near by at Poison Springs. Camden is also the site of one of the largest cemeteries of the Civil War - Oakland Cemetery.

The McCollum- Chidester House is a very special place to visit because this house contains the original furnishings of the two families that lived here during the Civil War period. This is an excellent place to visit for anyone interested in history, and particularly Civil War history.
