Bromsgrove is a town in Worcestershire in the West Midlands region of England. It has a long history being mentioned in the Domesday book of 1086, but it was called Bremesgrave. Both the "grove" and the "grave" portions of the name refer to a clearing in the woods, which is what this town was in the beginning. It was a major center for trading woollen goods in medieval times and the manufacture of nails was an important industry here in the 17th century.
Bromsgrove is located quite close to Birmingham and has excellent access to the major motorways. It is the home of one of the oldest rugby clubs in the country and also has a football club and a cricket team. You just might be lucky enough to take in a match by one of these teams.
