Although a strict definition of Latin America is hard to come by due to its
diversity, its usually accepted nowadays that Latin America is comprised of
all countries south of United states. A culturally rich and diverse group of
countries bound by their historical heritage and geographical location.
Spanish is the predominant language in the region but there are several
dialects and at least 3 other major groups. While Brazil is the only
country in the region that speaks Portuguese, Martinique, Haiti, Guadeloupe
and French Guiana speak French and the former Dutch colonies (Suriname,
Netherlands Antilles and Aruba) speak Papiamento, a mixture of Portuguese,
Spanish , Dutch and some african languages, like Arawak.
To travel in Latin
