Brilliant location for exploring Venice as the Mestre train station is only across the road and trains run directly into Venice very frequently (approx. every 5 minutes). The train trip is only 7 minutes and costs 1 Euro so is fantastic for those traveling on a budget and can't afford to stay on the island.
