Paris Travel Tips from Jamie Goatman and other guests
Try out a phunky cocktail bar which is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel Concorde Montparnasse. Its called 'tout le monde en parte' its located on the second floor above the shopping centre next to the tour du monteparnasse, me and my girlfriend loved it.
It is worth it to pay the tourist bus for 2 days, minimum cost difference, one to see around the city, the second day you will save to go to a selected attraction.
Take plenty of warm clothing with you as its very cold in winter, you'll have to wear two layers of clothing to survive the cold all day when on foot. But it's worth it. Best way to see and experience Paris is Walking and using the Metro. Do go to Le Defence (metro line 1), fantastic shopping centres.
Lots of Halal eating places near Notre Dame and Latin Quarter.
If you are in Paris then do go to the Central Mosque (Metro stop; Place Monge not sure what line now). It is beautiful and has a cafe/restaurant there who made the most delicious Moroccan food, Pricy but worth every penny!
