Lourdes Travel Tips from Samuel Marsden and other guests

I found the people and their interaction with the sites fascinating. Although I am a Christian, some events were over the top for me and the shops contain a lot of kitsch; but each to their own! If you are an individual pilgrim visit information at the Sanctuary - you will get good info and tips, if your are investigative. Try to join guided tours in the language you understand - they start from the info center..
I am not a hugely religious person but the candle/torch light procession is a beautiful and moving experience and I would recommend that every visitor to Lourdes should go to see it...
